Internship - General Information
Total Well-Being’s Internship Program will help strengthen the student’s professional philosophy and understanding of the management of wellness and health promotion programs and services. Students will be provided with the opportunity to develop skills and techniques applicable to their areas of study. The internship is designed to enhance the student’s professional preparation.
Qualifications
- Working on degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, or related health field.
- Interest in gaining experience working within the corporate wellness industry.
- Personal role model for health promotion with professional, corporate image.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in presenting health and wellness programs in individual and group settings.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other fitness center related software.
- Current CPR & First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design population health management program.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of other wellness programs that includes behavior change programs, incentive programs, health seminars, special events, intranet based programming, etc.
- Become efficient at using the software system including data input tracking and reporting.
- Assist in the development of promotional literature for all programs.
- Research and apply for NBGH, Welcoa Platinum, AHA, C. Everett Koop Award
