If passed, your company could be eligible for a $50,000 grant by implementing a wellness program.
Recently, the House of Representatives passed a health care reform bill. The bill could potentially give employers up to $50,000 to pay for a wellness program delivered by a qualified provider. The bill must still pass the Senate and, if passed, wouldn’t take effect until July 2010.
This is a major step in employee wellness and is a positive sign for wellness programs like Total Well-Being that practice preventative health care. You can read the wellness program portion of the bill starting on page 62 of this PDF.
